We proclaim our Church to be Catholic, not Protestant.
We seek reunion and communion with the Roman Catholic Church.
We accept the Apostolic Creed as a statement of our faith. We profess to be a confessional faith in the Lutheran tradition.
We believe that ecclesiastical and priestly authority are derived only through Apostolic authority, meaning the laying on of hands , in an unbroken link, from Jesus Christ.
We proclaim Episcopal authority to be the interpreter of Scripture, Dogma, and tradition, so far as bishops are inspired by the Holy Ghost.
We proclaim the evangelical tradition of the church, as founded by Jesus Christ and the Apostles.
We worship in a liturgical tradition and believe the Eucharist to be at the center of our worship life. We pray to the Blessed Virgin Mary and to the Saints for intersession.

THE ARCHIEPISCOPAL VISIT TO COLOMBIA
JULY 31-AUGUST 9, 2010
The Archiepiscopal Visit of the Most Revd. Prof. Michael B. Simmons, Ph.D., to Colombia from July 31-August 9, 2010, was very productive and fruitful. Archbishop Simmons presided over and preached at nine Masses in the metropolitan areas of Bogota, Medellin, and Bucaramanga. Most of the Masses were standing room only and they lasted on the average of three hours, one hour of which normally was spent in ministering in prayer and by the laying-on of hands, ministering the gifts of the Holy Spirit after the preaching of the Gospel. These times of invitation for prayer and blessings consisted of many people receiving personal blessings for such needs as healing, blessings for marriages and the family, financial prosperity, accepting Christ as one's personal Lord and Savior, blessings for students in colleges, and many more. In Bucaramanga, after a Mass of Prosperity where more than three-hundred people were in attendance, the Archbishop gave a live interview on a local television station concerning his visit to Colombia. One of the statements he made to the press was: "The Holy Spirit is doing a marvelous work here in Colombia." (El Espiritu Santo esta haciendo una obra maravillosa aqui en Colombia.")
The Archbishop met with a number of dignitaries in the Roman Catholic and Episcopal churches of Colombia; the president of a Roman Catholic Seminary in the area of Antiochia; visited the parents and siblings of Bishop Rosendo far up in the mountains; administered the sacrament of Confirmation at a Mass in Medellin to twenty-two youths; blessed the horses and livestock at a horse ranch in Bello, Colombia, north of Medellin; met with a women's ministry group in Bucaramanga; participated in an interview of a ministerial candidate; heard confessions; visited the site of the future cathedral of the Diocese of Christ the Good Shepherd in Bogota; presided over and preached at a Mass far up in the mountains around Bogota at a refugee camp called Los Alpes, where he prayed for and blessed many of the poor people who lived there; met with several business leaders in Bogota; made hospital and home visits to pray for and bless the sick and those in need; met with the clergy of the Diocese of Christ the Good Shepherd in Bogota; enjoyed visiting various tourist and historical sites around Medellin and Bogota; strengthened the churches under his archiepiscopal care and ministry; renewed pre-existing relationships and made new friends, especially enjoying "Paisa," a traditional food, and the delicious fruit of the country - especially his favorite, Papaya - and the superb coffee which has made Colombia famous all over the world.
Archbishop Simmons is very grateful to Bishop Rosendo Usuga Higuita, his wife Claudia, their two daughters Lady and Lorena; Archdeacon Abrham of Medellin; and all the clergy and laity who made his Archiepiscopal visit to Colombia a wonderful time of blessings and enjoyable Christian fellowship. To God be the glory for the great things he has done.
